What type of photoshop do professionals use

I have used photoshop n lightroom but what i need is a program where i take the photo then put card in conputer and it downloads to a program and within secs, pictures are done. The program autonatically does it for me. Anyone know such a program? Im starting a buisness where i will booked back to back and ned to give them there photos instantly by printing them right there.

Thank you in advance! If I need layers and such I use an additional editor like Photoshop elements. Photography is an ongoing constant learning process and simple yet powerful editing software enhance your creativity beyond imagination. Thnx for sharing all these wonderful software and guide for everyone.

GOD bless you and your team. Great selection. As for me, I mostly use PhotoWorks image editor. Especially i enjoy retouching raw photos — high quality for little time and effort.

I always look to gather new knowledge. I search it out. It really was engaging to read. Thank you for that. I have used PicMonkey for years but now that they upgraded or made changes. I find it very in user friendly. Your list was very helpful.

Great list. I agree on most of the software. But there are few more platforms, where we can outsource the services for Professional Photo Editing.

We need to outsource the things. Thank you. Although it would be more fair to compare it against other photo editors, due to its identical interfaces and capabilities. You need to emphasize how Lightroom and PhotoShop work together. Adobe packages them together for a single fee, along with a small amount of cloud storage.

I recently began using Corel Paintshop Pro I had been using the various Photoshop Elements programs for many years. Paintshop Pro has a lot of tools that are lacking in the various Elements programs. Hi, I need the software which can help me to edit jewellery with different background, please let me know which software is good. I have been using Adobe Lightroom for the last five years and find it quite easy to use even for the beginners and has all the expert level adjustments at the finger tips.

The only thing I would advise the Adobe people to work on is adding the content aware feature in Lightroom , I think after that most of the photographers would not need the Adobe Photoshop at all!

I really enjoyed reading your blog, you have worked very well on this website but also I like it and I have received a lot of suggestions in your web site and I have learned all about it and I have been benefited from writing such blogs. Thank you Alexandra for sharing this awesome photo editing software.

I believe this two tool is more than enough for all photo editing needs. Any suggestions as to who does the best Clone tool? They all seem to work slightly different. I use it a lot. Great list of photo editors. Lightroom could be way better, and most photographers who want something else than Lightroom, get stuck because they will miss Photoshop. The best current alternative I believe to be Affinity Photo. Affinity Photo is quite cheap and is very close to matching up with Photoshop.

Skylum Luminar???? I may agree with your other names you have placed on the list, but Skylum Luminar is a beta software that should have never reached the market.

Based on a year experience with both SL 3 and 4, I can tell you the following. But i will check the other photo editing softwares Insha Allah. Great list, thanks! Luminar 4. People are having tons of issues with Luminar 4 crashing in the middle of editing, and the developers are not doing anything to fix the issue, this is been going on for months. Putting PortraitPro software in your top software list is a little misleading. I use PortraitPro all the time, but I would not use it nor would be used for anything else but portrait shots.

Yes, its great but you are confusing this software as a general editing tool. Why did you put this into the running? Not for landscapes, not for real-estate shots, get the point? All the others can be used for all types of photography, including portraits, but not PortraitPro. This is a big Oops in my mind. Thanks for the article. I honestly think that it really touched the tip of the iceberg. In a good meaning. I was working on Photoshop scripts for a short time but I already see a lot of benefits you get from using them.

I am really curious how people will use them and what time saver scripts can be generated. We're glad you have chosen to leave a comment. Photoshop Elements has far fewer features and functions than Photoshop CC. Also, the tools that are included have less options and functions.

For example, the Camera RAW editing module is pretty basic. It lacks lens corrections and tone-curve editing.

If you want more control over your photo editing, then you need Photoshop CC. Photoshop CC is not developed for photographers only. All kinds of digital artists use it. You can edit your photos and heavily manipulate them. You can also explore illustration and graphic design. Photoshop CC allows you to work with 3D objects and a professional color management system. Definitely something to consider if you want to print artwork and not just photos.

The downside is that Photoshop CC has a steep learning curve. If you want to use Photoshop CC and not one of the other Photoshop versions, you need to know at least the basics of photo editing. Besides that, you also need to read a lot about photo editing. Then Lightroom Classic might be perfect for you. It has everything an advanced or professional photographer needs.

Lightroom Classic is basically the equivalent of a darkroom. It allows you to edit exposure, focus, color, tone, and overall composition. Lightroom also applies all its edits to a RAW file before a photo is converted. Plus, it's easy to share your photos from the Organizer interface to social media and via email. For the vast majority of users, Photoshop will be overkill. Photoshop Elements will provide most of the functions and capabilities that the average and even many serious photographers will want or need, in an easy-to-master interface.

However, if you prefer having precise control over every aspect of your photo editing, or if you need or want more advanced functions such as 3D objects or top-notch color management, then choose Photoshop. In addition, while Elements supports only 8-bit RGB and grayscale images, Photoshop also supports CMYK pictures which is key for prepress preparation and bit images which provide greater, detailed high-dynamic-range image data.

Professional photographers also have to consider the impact of brand recognition: Most clients and associates expect pros to know and use Adobe Photoshop, as a perceived indication of a certain level of professionalism. Photoshop and Photoshop Elements also have different marketing models. When you buy Elements, you pay a one-time fee for a license that you own, and which can't be rescinded. Photoshop is available only through an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription; when you stop paying the monthly fee, the software will no longer work on your computer.

We cover more about prices and how Creative Cloud works below. Adobe Lightroom is approximately equivalent to a film chemical darkroom in that it allows you to edit and manipulate the defining properties of a photograph, such as exposure, focus, color, tone and overall composition crop, rotation, orientation, etc. Many professional and serious photographers will process their photos first in Lightroom. Then they will move into Photoshop for fine-tuning, creating composites, adding text and so forth.

Unlike Photoshop, all edits in Lightroom are nondestructive, retaining the original image data. In addition, when working with RAW files, Lightroom's ability to apply all its edits before a photo is converted from RAW to a more universally useful format results in better and more precise image quality. Adobe offers two versions of Lightroom. What's particularly confusing is that the high-powered desktop application that has long been popular with professional photographers is now called Lightroom Classic instead of simply Lightroom.

And the new cloud-enabled program is now called Lightroom. Both Lightroom Classic and Lightroom are available only when you buy a subscription to one of Adobe's Creative Cloud plans. The Lightroom desktop application is part of an ecosystem that includes cloud storage for your photographs, and mobile apps for iOS and Android tablets and phones. When you import a photo, tag or catalog pictures, or save an edited image on any of your connected devices, it's automatically synced to your cloud photo library.

In other words, the original image, your edits and the file's metadata are available on all devices: your computer, tablet, phone, even on an Apple TV. In addition, your photos are automatically backed up. Lightroom's desktop interface is more streamlined and less comprehensive than Lightroom Classic, and the mobile apps are even more limited. In essence, Lightroom is the more modern app, suitable for on-the-go photographers who want to quickly edit their photos in an interface that is easy to master.
