Why didnt yamamoto use bankai

Even his butterfly transcendent form so powerful, he still cannot touch yamamoto bankai. Yamamoto is to strong, he can defeat shinigami aizen easily, so aizen butterfly or final form are no different. Yamamoto bankai cut enemies to nothingness, so i don't see aizen final form had a chance to beat yamamoto bankai.

Mathias of Miller wrote: What if battle scenario: Look on the abilities parts of this wiki for Yamamoto battle stats, skills, zanpakuto, etc. As proved, he probably wouldn't because he lost to Aizen, but that could have been mainly because of Wonderweiss. If he were to fight 1-on-1 with Aizen, he might win up until 4th fusion, because I reckon only Ichigo can go past that point, yet he still destroys his powers with Mugetsu, yet I highly doubt Aizen isn't alive afterwards.

XP I'm late sorry But could he have killed Yhwach if he could have at least badly injured Aizen? Explore Wikis Community Central. Register Don't have an account? After defeating Nanao Ise with just one glance, Yamamoto shows his disappointment and is willing to enforce justice before the Captains. After this the intruders are pardoned and taken home, the Society of Souls is then dedicated to observe the activity of Aizen and wait for a movement of the shinigami.

A month later, Hitsugaya's group confronts the Arrancar in Karakura again, this time with the aim of distracting their attention while Ulquiorra Cifer abducts Orihime Inoue in the Dangai. Yamamoto considers her a traitor and refuses to help Ichigo Kurosaki to rescue her in Hueco Mundo, after which he sends Byakuya Kuchiki and Kenpachi Zaraki to withdraw his advance group and garrison them in Soul Society since he determined that the Arrancar were prepared for the attack.

Instead of Aizen, the elder Barragan Luisenbarn takes control of the forces and launches an attack on the pillars that support the false Karakura. Despite losing the pillar protected by Ikkaku, Captain Sajin Komamura defeats the last Arrancar and the attack fails. When Ukitake and Kyoraku are defeated by Wonderweiss and Coyote Stark , Yamamoto expresses his concern for both of them. After Aizen and his subordinates are freed from the flames of Yamamoto, thanks to Wonderweiss, Hirako Shinji and his group of Vizards appear to aid in the fight against Aizen.

Shinji and Yamamoto have a brief exchange of words in which Shinji makes it clear that he acts not for the Shinigami, but because they are allies of Ichigo and have a pending account with Aizen. After all the Captains and Vizards are defeated by Aizen, Yamamoto finally intervenes before Ichigo does.

Aizen manages to get through the Captain Commander, but he expected just that and reveals that Kyoka Suigetsu cannot deceive his perception of reiatsu, and that is why he knew that he was facing the real Aizen and not an illusion, so he grabs his arm tightly to surround them both with his most powerful technique: Ennetsu Jigoku.

However, Wonderweiss appears in his Resurrection form and drives Yamamoto back, saving Aizen. Aizen explains to him that Wonderweiss is a special Arrancar that he had reserved precisely for Yamamoto, since it was designed precisely to seal the power of his Ryujin Jakka, so the Ennetsu Jigoku's flames disappear and Yamamoto cannot use his Zanpakuto. Wonderweiss attacks Yamamoto, but Yamamoto repels him with a punch and taunts Aizen for believing that if he deprived him of the power of his Zanpakuto he would be powerless.

Yamamoto reveals that he has served as Captain Commander of Soul Society for 1, years, and that during that time no shinigami more powerful than him has been born.

Wonderweiss reappears and both he and Yamamoto engage in a tough battle in which Yamamoto prevails by pulverizing his body with the Sokotsu. Yamamoto prepares to fight Aizen, however, this reminds him of the functions for which Wonderweiss was created and Yamamoto realizes that all his flames were sealed inside the Arrancar. Yamamoto manages to stop Wonderweiss' powerful explosion in time, but is seriously injured and exhausted.

Aizen congratulates him for such a feat, since if he had not done it, all of Karakura would have been incinerated as well as the entire world. In manga Captain Ukitake of the 13th Division reveals that the Commander General lost his left arm in the Battle of Karakura after using the sacrificial hadou 96, Ittou Kasou which is a forbidden art that uses the user's scorched body as catalyst in this case his left arm.

Yamamoto is later seen in a comical scene where he exasperatedly berates Byakuya Kuchiki , Kenpachi Zaraki, and Shunsui Kyoraku for losing their haori as captains. When asked what a haori is to them, Byakuya replies that it is a trinket, Kenpachi that it is a hindrance, and Kyoraku that it is a fashionable contraption, further unnerving the Captain Commander.

At the captains' meeting at the first division barracks, Urahara requests help to restore Ichigo's powers. Yamamoto asks him to bring the sword that he has created for that purpose, then Captain Unohana asks him if what he does is okay to which Yamamoto replies that all of them were saved by Ichigo Kurosaki and, that although that goes against of the rules, it would be a shame not to help someone who has helped them so many times, then he orders all captains and lieutenants to contribute their reiatsu to that sword to finally return his Shinigami powers to Ichigo this reveals a small change in attitude in the Shinigami.

When Ichigo reveals that he wants Ginjo's body back to bury it in the real world, Yamamoto asks him if he had cautiously premeditated what he was asking for and the reasons he had given to support his request. Ichigo nods, and surprisingly Yamamoto grants his request.

After receiving reports of the huge numbers of Hollows missing in the Hueco Mundo, Yamamoto receives an unexpected visit from masked subjects. They proclaim themselves the Vandenreich and claim that they will invade Soul Society in 5 days. In the course of the conversation, in the room Sasakibe bursts being pierced by a giant arrow, Yamamoto is enraged and attacks against the masked men; but these escape in time using a shadow.

With his last breath, Sasakibe warns Yamamoto that those subjects were capable of sealing the Bankai.

After attending Sasakibe's funeral and mourning his death, Yamamoto calls a meeting of captains and listens to Mayuri's report: after exhaustive studies, Mayuri had concluded that the strange invaders were none other than his arch-enemies: the Quincy.

Yamamoto affirms that the invasion of the Vandenreich could begin at any moment and not in 5 days so he orders the captains to prepare.

In a private chat with Mayuri, he tells her that he had ordered the killing of 28, Rukongai residents to balance the soul balance between the Real World and the Soul Society. Yamamoto asks him why he had not asked permission since he would have given it to him, he also accuses him that his division would have to have been faster with the reports so that the Society had not found itself in that situation;. Yamamoto decides to personally participate in the battle against the Quincys who at the moment were only 16 quincys with a power of the level of a captain or higher, also known as Sternritter , and leaves the First Division building in charge of his third officer.

Moments later it is revealed that the Quincys' medallions do not seal the Bankai, but rather steal them allowing their use, this information was disclosed after being experienced by the captains of the 2nd, 6th, 7th and 10th Division. Driscoll turns out to be Sasakibe's murderer and he decides to use his subordinate's Bankai on Yamamoto. After receiving a few shocks, Yamamoto claims that the Bankai's power had been much stronger in the hands of Sasakibe and kills Driscoll.

After cremating the Sternritter, Yamamoto promises Hisagi that he will kill each and every Quincy. Yamamoto reaches where the Vandenreich leader is, who at that time had defeated Kenpachi Zaraki who on his own had killed 3 Sternritter without problems , and reveals his name: Juha Bach.

He tells him that years had passed and that this time he would make sure to annihilate him. There is a confrontation between Yamamoto and Juha Bach, after managing to wound his left arm with his Ryujin Jakka, Bach releases his sword and Yamamoto releases his Bankai: Zanka no Tachi.

While Zanka no Tachi only looks like a scorched sword, being observed by the blond Sternritter second in command after Juha Bach , Bach warns his subordinate not to underestimate him as the blade contained all of Ryujin Jakka's flames, and that a blow would spell the end. Yamamoto asks Bach if he thinks his current Bankai was the same as years ago.

He is quick to anger in the face of possible betrayal, and can be quite aggressive in combat. Due to years of experience, Yamamoto very rarely shows any sign of distress or surprise, usually responding by opening one or two of his eyes, which are partially closed slits for the majority of the time.

Yamamoto is very loyal to Soul Society and takes his duties very seriously, expecting the same from the rest of the Gotei His loyalty is so great that he is willing to sacrifice himself and the Gotei 13, believing it to be their duty to lay down their lives for the sake of the Soul Society if necessary.

He is not above eliminating his own shinigami if they were ever to betray him, and in his prior life has clashed with some of the captains withing the Divisions. Seen as a man of power and strength with a killer personality, its difficult to see a softer, and even vulnerable, side to him.

He has mentioned that there are moments where he fears his own power, namely the power of his Bankai. Yamamoto has even described himself as a monster or demon who's power is able to reduce the entire Soul Society to ash. Instead, he has chosen to not use unless deemed absolutely necessary. While stern, Yamamoto does have people he cares for in his life, something that was always absent previously.

Yamamoto appreciates Eastern cultures and is a master at the Japanese tea ceremony, and subsequently dislikes the "Western" traditions. Yamamoto holds a tea session every month in the 1st Division quarters for every member of the division. He also likes to be rubbed down with a dry towel while exposed to the sun on his balcony.

On one particular instance, he scolds the boy for doing so. Shunsui asks about a picture showing a dark silhouette among a field of fire. Yamamoto explains that the picture was of a monster that appeared in Soul Society a long time ago. That it had appeared at a time when Soul Society was facing a difficult situation and that the monsters appearance made the situation worse.

He then stated the monster won't come back, when Shunsui asked what if the monster comes back. Yamamoto answered that he probably wouldn't return.

During Yamamoto's time as an instructor, Sasakibe routinely visited him, always referring to him as "Eijisai-dono", a reference to the large scar on his forehead, despite knowing that it annoyed him.

He insisted that it would be wrong to use Yamamoto's real name. During one of his visits, Sasakibe told Yamamoto that he wished to be his right arm and compensate for anything that Yamamoto could not do. Yamamoto tells him to become an instructor but he declined.

At Yamamoto's behest, Sasakibe tried to defeat him with his Bankai. Though he failed to defeat him, he left a permanent scar on Yamamoto's forehead, crossing his earlier scar. Others began to refer to him by a different name due to the new scar, but Sasakibe refused to do use this new name. At some point, Yamamoto founded the Divisions and approximately one thousand years prior to the main storyline, he became its first Captain-Commander. This foundation was formed around the time that he led the shinigami against its once allies, the Quincy.
