Instead of teachers and staff punishing you for chewing gum during school, what if they could allow you to chew gum, or even supply the gum for you! Gum chewing stimulates your brain. And according to research, the people who chewed gum got better test results. If more research comes to prove that chewing gum helps you focus, then schools all over the world should change.

One more reason I believe banning books are wrong is because, you get more choices. Librarians say that they want kids to have as many reading choices as possible, but by them banning books they can have as many options to pick what they interested in. Jaquan was in the library trying to choose a book he was interested in but he couldn 't because the book he was looking for was banned.

Some people say that racial slurs are why they ban some books, but most kids are gonna learn about racial slurs in their social studies class anyway. Although there are many schools rules that students do not approve of, but the school rule that should be changed is allowing students to chew gum during school hours instead of having it banned.

This rule should be changed because most students do it anyway and it keeps some students low-key instead of being dexterous. To begin with, if the principal changed any rule, he should change the rule about chewing gum. The principal should consider changing the rule about chewing gum because many students do it anyway. This rule should only go to those who can make their gum into the trashcan. Think about all the children and even adults who suffer from ADHD or even who just have short attention span.

When in fact, chewing gum actually helps you in school by helping improve your memory, focusing, it relieves stress and anxiety, and last but least improves your breath.

Believe it or not, chewing gum involves a lot of parts of the brain. Many schools do not allow students to chew gum in school. It also increases the glucose level, making the student more alert. The rhythmic chewing also increases attention. Chewing should be allowed especially during big tests. When gum is brought to school it helps clean your teeth after your lunch time. Gum can also make their jaws stronger. Some types of gum can make teeth stronger. One line of research suggests that chewing gum can lead to better academic performance.

Teachers anecdotally found that students who chewed gum required fewer breaks, paid better attention and stayed quiet longer than those who did not.
